Lady had a marathon delivery of 9 new Airedale babies born between March 25th and 26th.  Almost 24 hours between first and last baby. First one born at 4:57 a.m. on the 25th and the other sometime between 1 and 3 a.m. on the 25th. Lady was finished, as far as I was concerned at 5 p.m. on the 25th so needless to say the last one was a complete surprise. At no time did she appear to be worried – sleeping peacefully between puppies. Sometimes it was 45 minutes, but more often was over 2 hours. If it wasn’t that I have been raising Airedales for over 30 years, I might have been worried. Lady gave no signs of distress and just happens to be one of those bitches who take their own sweet time to deliver. I must say, though, this is the longest I have ever waited for the last one. Lady is a super mom, and I took lots of video of her delivery. I will also be taking lots of videos of her babies growing up and when I learn how- I will post some for other Airedale lovers out there.
